Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2, 2025

This policy covers the Obol Discord bot and its associated web panel ("the Service").

Data We Collect

  • Discord User Information: Your Discord user ID, username, and avatar are collected when you interact with the bot or log into the web panel. Your roles and permissions within a server are used for authorization checks.
  • Discord Guild Information: We store the ID of servers where the bot is used, along with role and channel IDs you configure for bot operations.
  • Service Data: We store all data you create through the Service, including game names, token balances per user per game, and a log of all token transactions (who did what, to whom, when, and why).

How We Use Data

  • To provide the core functionality of the bot, which is tracking and managing token balances.
  • To authenticate you to the web panel and ensure you only have access to servers and actions you are permitted to see and perform.
  • To create an audit log of all token mutations for server accountability.

Data Storage and Security

All service-related data is stored in a SQLite database file on the same server that hosts the bot. We take reasonable measures to protect this data, but no system is perfectly secure.

Data Sharing

We do not share your data with any third parties, except as required by law.

Your Rights

As your data is stored within your Discord server's context, most data removal can be handled by server administrators (e.g., deleting a game, which cascades and deletes associated balances and transactions). For complete removal requests, please contact the bot operator.

For any questions about this privacy policy, please contact the bot operator.
